Electrical industry
Steck
Two SaaS platforms for electricians and B2B customers
Services
- Full-stack web development
- B2B SaaS projects
- Tool for electricians
Technology
Steck is a Brazilian manufacturer of electrical equipment, part of the Schneider Electric group, supplying materials for residential, commercial, and industrial use. It produces more than 50 product lines, exports to over a dozen countries, and runs factories in Brazil (Manaus and São Paulo) plus distribution centers in four Latin American countries.
The challenge
Steck needed two distinct digital channels, serving different audiences in its supply chain.
The first, built for electricians in the field, is a practical tool for generating electrical installation quotes, with Steck product selection, pre-calculated pricing, labor cost inclusion, and final quote export to customers and stores. The goal: replace spreadsheets, manual calculations, and scattered lookups with a single tool that speeds up the professional’s work and puts Steck products close to the decision point.
The second, built for B2B customers, is an online sales channel with features tuned to larger-scale operations, with flows and tools suited to enterprise relationships.
What we delivered
Elo project (greenfield): web platform for electricians built from scratch, with a Flutter Web frontend and a C#/.NET backend on MySQL. The platform covers the full flow: electrician authentication, product catalog with pre-calculated pricing, installation configuration, labor cost inclusion, quote generation and export. Elo recently moved from closed early access to broader availability.
Portal project (continuation and restructuring): B2B sales channel for Steck’s corporate customers, with a Flutter Web frontend and a Java backend. Our work combined continuing what Steck had started and restructuring parts of the system to support the scale demands of the B2B audience.
Team and technology
- Elo stack: Flutter Web (frontend), C#/.NET with MySQL (backend).
- Portal stack: Flutter Web (frontend), Java (backend).
- Working model: embedded with Steck’s operation, continuous development and joint prioritization.
Result
Both platforms are in production. Elo, recently expanded beyond early access, is starting to scale among Steck’s partner electricians; Portal continues to serve the B2B channel with ongoing evolution. For Steck, the result is a digital presence at two historically offline points in its chain, each with a platform designed for its specific audience.
